Cole grew up in the Brainerd, MN area where he was the youngest of two sets of twins. His family dynamics strongly encouraged shouldering responsibility and helping when and where you’re able. These dynamics stemmed from their business of being professional dog trainers/handlers who ran a full-time boarding facility, breeding purebred Labradors with a 20-year pedigree. Cole soon developed a passion for soccer and martial arts, receiving his black belt in Tae Kwon Do a few years later. His high school academics revolved around AP and CIS courses, permitting full-time college enrollment by his Senior year. Seeking a career path with a capacity for growth, he became a Relationship Banker at TCF Bank where he devoted the next 3 years learning all aspects of the banking industry, becoming his branch’s top employee and the most sought-after banker for many of their regular customers. In 2019, Cole’s now fiancée began her career within the same branch and Cole was ultimately transferred to another location. Given a new perspective, he decided it was time to delve deeper into the financial world, accepting a BSA Analyst position in TCF’s corporate office in Plymouth, MN. There, he remained through two turbulent company mergers until his position was dissolved amid their merger with Huntington Bank at the end of 2021. Accepting him as one of their own, New Era extended an offer to join their team as their company’s Compliance Manager. Eager to carry his own weight, Cole diligently began to expand his financial knowledge and engulfed himself in the world of investment banking. Currently studying for his licensing exams, his focus, thus far, has consisted of furthering his intellect and doing everything he is capable of to contribute to the successes of New Era.
